About the Role
To further support our internal growth, Sense of Hearing Canada is seeking experienced, motivated and reliable full-time Hearing Instrument Specialist, to join our multi-disciplinary team of hearing healthcare professionals in Welland. Qualifications
- Hearing Instrument Dispensing License.
- Registered with the Association of Hearing Instrument Practitioners of Ontario. (AHIP).
- Must have ADP Authorizer Status.
- Minimum 2 Years of Clinical Experience.
The successful candidate must possess both exceptional interpersonal communication and clinical diagnostic skills and also be able to work independently, or in a collegial team environment as needed. Full-time Audiologist or Hearing Instrument Specialist position available for our Toronto General Hospital and Yonge and Lawrence clinics!
6-Month Contract, With Potential to Transition into Permanent Role.
The Munk Hearing Centre is seeking a full-time audiologist or HIS to join our growing and dynamic practice. This is a 6-month contract position with potential to become a permanent role for the right fit.

- Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Audiology, or completion of HIS program

Duties and Responsibilities

- Hearing assessments
- Aural rehabilitation including hearing aid evaluations, dispensing and all appropriate follow-up/counselling

Hearing Instrument Specialist
Position available for a Hearing Instrument Specialist to join the team at Deegan Hearing Clinic. We are an independent, family run clinic, looking for an enthusiastic, thorough and knowledgeable clinician to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Perform audiometric assessments, consultations, and make appropriate referrals.
- Recommend hearing aids, accessories and assistive listening devices based on audiometric findings.
- Dispense and complete hearing aid fittings, and counsel patients accordingly.
- Extensive knowledge of a wide variety of hearing aid manufacturers and programming is an asset.
- Perform cerumen management (AHIP Certification)
- Provide hearing aid cleanings, modifications and minor repairs.
- Time management skills very important.
- Support all Deegan Hearing Clinic Staff when needed.
Qualifications:
- College Diploma from a recognized Hearing Instrument Specialist program.
- Current member in good standing with AHIP.
- New graduates welcome to apply.

Contingent Audiology and Lab Support
Position Title: Contingent Audiology and Lab Support
Department: Audiology
Location: Sonova’s office in Mississauga and home (Hybrid position)
Job Summary
The position of Audiology and Lab Support is responsible for providing technical fitting support and advice to internal and external stakeholders, as well as troubleshooting devices sent in for repair. Calls are made to advise/support clients on products that have come through the lab. This position also involves supporting customers calling in with technical questions and remake requests. It is a hybrid position, split between working 3 days a week in the office and 2 days a week from home.
Key Accountabilities
- Provides technical fitting support via telephone and email.
- Resolves customer complaints and problems related to all Sonova devices seen in the lab.
- Keeps informed on new technologies as it relates to hearing aids.
- Liaises with production manager and staff to resolve fitting problems.
- Is the key advisor for internal and external sales & support staff on custom products.
- Makes outbound calls to follow-up on queries related to product repairs.
Supervision
- Works independently, but with support from Audiology Support colleagues when needed.
Resources
- Product support materials, and access to Sonova knowledge databases.
- Access to custom product build software to assist in advising on fit issues.
Job Specifications and Qualifications
- Qualified Hearing Instrument Specialist.
- Member of AHIP.
- Must be able to work from Sonova’s Mississauga office on daily basis if needed (3 days minimum per week).
- In-depth knowledge of hearing aids, including custom products.
- 1 year minimum of clinical experience.
- Ability to handle and resolve customer complaints diplomatically, over the phone and in writing.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good knowledge of technologies and Bluetooth.
- Good time management and being able to prioritise tasks.
- Bilingual (French/English) is considered an asset.
