The Ontario Ministry of Health, Assistive Devices Program requires membership in good standing with AHIP to obtain and maintain authorizer status. Members are also recognized by other Government agencies including the Ontario Workplace & Insurance Board (WSIB), Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC) and the Ministry of Children Community and Social Services. To become a member of AHIP, practitioners must meet strict educational, internship and ethical requirements.
